Real Cashmere Test – SGS Verified (100% Proof & Micron Analysis)

Our Cashmere Is Independently Tested

Anyone can write “100% cashmere” on a label. We prefer to prove it.

In February 2026, we sent a sample from our cashmere scarf collection to SGS for independent laboratory testing. SGS is the world’s largest testing, inspection, and certification company, with offices in over 140 countries.

The results were published on March 20, 2026.

What These Values Mean

A human hair is about 70 microns thick. Regular wool ranges`11` between 20 and 35 microns. High-quality cashmere ranges between 14 and 19 microns.

At 15.76 microns, our cashmere clearly falls within the premium range — soft enough to be worn directly on the skin without irritation.

SGS measured 600 individual fibers — a statistically reliable result based on international ISO standards.

We Test So You Don’t Have to Guess

The cashmere market has a well-known problem with counterfeits and blended fibers. We see independent testing not as marketing — but as responsibility.

Every Himalaya Pashmina scarf also comes with an authenticity certificate. Together with SGS, this provides two levels of assurance.
